Ospreys due???????

Post by duran212 » Mon Oct 26, 2009 9:02 pm

Saw a report of some CV-22's at CYYT (St. John's - International - Canada) with a couple of Hercs.
Any idea if they are coming this way????

Cheers

CV-22's have regularly gone via Lajes for quite some time to theatre and back and also North and West Africa.
Supported by Mildenhall MC-130P's i believe at one point when in West Africa? If anyone can confirm.

Can't see them doing the northern route to the UK, as it's quicker/shorter for them to go across the warmer seas to the south via Lajes and Rota/Moron in Spain enroute to theatre...
Going via Mildenhall on the way is an increase in mileage and an uneccessary stop over in my opinion hence why we have *never* seen them over here transiting.

But never say never, Prestwick might get surprised!
