Typhoon training moving to Kinloss

Post by DJC » Wed Jul 29, 2020 9:43 am

Morning all,

I've just released information about the next phase of construction work on our runways at RAF Lossiemouth.
It involves Typhoon training moving to Kinloss.

Full article here.

Find it on social media. There's also an infographic here:

Does that mean all the Typhoons at Lossie will be moving over to Kinloss on the 10th?

Hi folks

Having never been to Kinloss when an "operational airfield" (I've been to Morayvia and to see the Nimrod) could anyone tell me where exactly the "spotters parking" and footpath to the hide are to be found? Assume they are on the Findhorn road, but are they before or after the Nimrod? Will be popping up in a few weeks and dont want to annoy the authorities and the locals by doing the wrong thing.

Thanks
Its gonna rain, its gonna rain till the levee breaks, a tidal wave of fear and pain washes us away, another fight into the night until nothing else remains, how do we find harbour from the Hurricane?

Carry on down the Findhorn Road past the Nimrod, look for two white posts on the left just past the crash gate. Turn left into there and then go down the track all the way to the bottom, there is enough parking for about 10 cars. From there walk onto the path (keep a very careful eye out for bike riders) for about 200 yds and you will see another path through the bushes, this will take you to the viewing hut.
I do what the voices in my head tell me to do!!!!
