BBC Scotland's coverage of the arrival was a lot better. I'll even let them off for referring to it as a "Marine Patrol Aircraft".

Great to see a new type in service

Pardon my ignorance but what is the expected delivery schedule - one every two or three months?

ZP801 was escorted in by "Spartan 11 Flight" which were ZK334-334 (NATO 70th badge) on the left of the Poseidon and ZK349-349 on the right

Tweet today that ZP802 (City of Elgin) is now at NAS Jacksonville. Possibly then coming to Kinloss next month. :thumb:

Is ZP801 currently hangared or sitting outside(I doubt it could fit inside one of Kinloss’s hangars)?

All the Hangars on the south side of Kinloss have been modified by the Army so the main doors are welded shut, and anyway they are way to small to fit a P8 into. ZP801 as Niall says was pointed nose towards Findhorn Bay when she arrived and there she sits. I suspect she will be secured down with chains, and if the wind really gets up (which it hasnt really done compared to other places further south) they will probably put a full fuel bowser in front of her to act as a wind break.

I didin't want to start a new post about this but I have been wondering wether they ever took a picture with ZP801 or whichever parked along side the "Duke of Edinburgh" Nmrod MR.2 at "RAF" Kinloss? That would have been a great image of the two of them parked alongside each other...........
