is it possible to see the Airfield at Kinloss from the Morayvia Area?

No.
Findhorn end gives best views and at the other end of the runway if they are landing from the Lossie side, the track at the John Deere dealers gets you quite close to the approach.
Mind you its a couple of years since I've been up so am open to correction by the locals.
I've been told that all operations are going to be from the north side.
Interesting you say Northside Ops, I,ve been keeping an eye out on the runway works of late and haven't seen any up grading to any of the bays over on Northside. But there has been plenty of work (which seems ongoing) going on to Bays 1 to 9, those are the bays to the west side of the Tower on South side.
I'll bow to your observations as a first hand account beats a phone conversation.
Ironic then that they are going to be using the old Nimrod (and Shackelton) bays for the replacement for the aircraft which they cancelled because we didn't need a maritime type and that they are going to be using the base which was not needed either.
Don't start me on the QRA going to Leuchars (if that is still the case)
Its only going to be temporary whilst Lossiemouth undergoes a much needed upgrade. We reckon the P8 will only be at Kinloss for around a year or so.

A couple of centreline (07) approach lights still missing on the bay side of the Findhorn road......I take it that the P8's will not be night flying in their build up.

They are now turning their attention to the fence at 07, I went past today and its single file traffic across the end of the runway, the old fence has gone and the whins were being removed as well.

Noticed the new fence also:- centre section wooden structure, and the remainder concrete posts.

Centre section a good height for taking photographs etc.

Also this afternoon, the first action at Kinloss for months:- Typhoon overshoots from 3 pm onwards.
