To all Pilots, Groundcrew past and present of No 111 (Treble One)(F) Sqn, Thank you all both Phantoms and Tornado F.3s for Years of excitement and excellence you have provided to this Country over the Years, it was my immence honour and pleasure to visit the Squadron I think it was 1993 or about that and found the Squadron professional and Top Class especially being able to sit in a Tornado F,3 cockpit

. I will indeed like everyone miss the Tornado F.3

.
Best of luck to you all. I'm sorry but due to circumstances at work etc I will be unable to get to Leuchars before the end to witness the retirement of one of the best Fighter Aircraft in the Royal Air Force, but will get up as soon as possible to see the Typhoons.

Thank you 111 for making some enjoyable days spent standing at that fence watching and taking photos of wonderful aircraft. Also thank you for the up-date and good luck to all members of the sqd where ever you go

Thanks for the info and updates much appreciated and thanks for those great passes i`ve witnessed and togged in the Mach loop you will be sorely missed, nothing like the excitement of getting a Tremblers callsign on the scanner and the subsequent cheers as you fly by.
Best of luck to all for the future.
Dave.

After it retires and we're all sorry to see it go don't forget if you want to see Tornado F.3s you could always pay visits to ZE934 at East Fortune in Scotland or if your down South then Hendon has ZE887 on display. I really hope more Museums get to have Tornado F.3s on display - would love to see one at Duxford (mind you they already have a GR version).

Pretty much as everyone else has said, many thanks to all 111 Sqn members, past and present and for the above information.
Best of luck to all, whatever the future holds.
Best wishes
Paul
PS. If we have a whip-around could we have a couple of touch'n'goes at Leeming? Particularly ZE791 (assuming she's going for RTP?) as it was the murkiest day when she was towed out of the paint shop last week when I was there! One of the best 'special' schemes I've seen in many years - bold and simple but striking - just add sun!

I'd just like to say a BIG thank you for the display put on today by 111 SQN

, it's such a shame that the F3 is going out with a wimper & not a tour of the bases that it has served so well over the last 20 odd years .
I'm also thinking of the 111 members who have still to work on & fix these fine machines only to see them sent away for scrapping - sorry RTP

.
TO all members of 111SQN , THANK YOU & ALL THE BEST FOR THE FUTURE .
Stewart
P.S you just get the feeling that Prince Andrew would get a better reception from the Top brass if he turned up for Golf Jolly than 111SQN will get for there disbandment

.
