As a complete guess could 3 sqn be holding a Northern QRA over Chrismas, just in case Coningsby goes black because of weather conditions ?

Hope the boys (and girls) who are working over the festive period too keep us safe have a good one.

Well that was my best guess as well Doughnut! So if UKMIL is going to continue to "keep schtum" on this then we'll just have to keep making it up!

FWIW I'll go for some kind of end of year sign-off requirement that meant a certain number of Typhoon's had to be on base (maybe to meet some F3 rundown criteria).

I know it's not a great guess, but it's the best I can do right now :D

Perhaps Ukmil is unable to give precise details as it is more than his job is worth?

Why keep pushing for every last detail when, if he did reveal everything you want, it might make him unable to post anything in the future.

I for one am grateful at what he can and does post............... :)

Because that's not immature in the slightest..

People with a similar mindset to that will eventuate in Ukmil from stopping posting, so please refrain from making this happen.

Thanks,
Chris.

And I have apologised via PM to both UKMIL and GOOSE for any offence caused - none was meant I can assure you.
