Should have said there was a helicopter around as well but it was too far away to identify.Sounsded like a big one not one of the smaller ones that drop in here from tme to time.Would have been about 10:00 heading inland.

Any idea of serial. From where I am it looks and sounds like helicopter(s) and occassional Osprey heading in Condor direction then back out to sea or Leuchars.Probably wrong

Yes, they're landing back and forth between Condor and Leuchars, maybe one of the guys @ Leuchars can help with the serials, I'm observing from work in St Andrews.

Leuchars just told one of the a/c to contact Condor on 129.975. New one for me
If it cant be fixed with a hammer, then its an electrical problem.

Does anyone know how long they may be in the area?. I am travelling up to Lossiemouth this Saturday so was hoping they might be in the area this weekend so I can catch them before heading up to Lossie.

I have it on good authority they plan to fly tomorrow, same times (weather dependent). After that, however, I'm in the dark.

Was there anything flying today at the base? I saw a CV-22 Osprey flying over the sidlaw hills behind Dundee heading west around 4pm so just wondered if they were at Leuchars 1st.
