Hi all,
An acquaintance of mine has some old photos of two Canadian demo Hornets landing at an airfield in 2003, one being 188720 in Tigermeet of the Americas special colours, and 188906 in the RCAF demonstration teams for 2003 colours. He thinks they might have been taken at Leuchars, but somehow he can't remember where he took these. Anyone who can help with this? Did they visit Leuchars in 2003? Or maybe some other UK airfield? Thanks in advance!!
Richard.

I have them at Lossiemouth on slide images.

They arrived at Lossie on their way to (from memory) Brno, Czech Rep, there was also a CC-144 Challenger in tow. I think they routed back through Lossie as well. I’ve got plenty of photos of them at Lossie on the way out, and possibly on the way back, I’ll check tomorrow. Again from memory it was in September 2003?
Edit: I've checked my photos and it seems that they returned via Lossiemouth as well, as I have photos of the CF-188B taking off from both the caravan position and halfway down the runway(couldn't have been in both positions at the same time) as well as ramp shots. Strangely I don't have any photos of the CF-188A (Tiger) taken from half way down the runway though, only from the caravan position and ramp
.
If I recall they arrived in the evening the day before(possibly from Keflavik), and were a nice surprise when I arrived for work the next day, I think there may have been Swedish Gripens in not long after the Canadians departed, I only logged my photos by month/year and not the actual day.
