Thought the title would get your attention  Looking through the 6 sqn association website found this.

Didn't realise Hurricane's got up to Mk.11's!

Would be nice if they painted their first up with a full colour tail using that, won't happen though!

no, 6 have 8 at present. Once at full strength there will be 18, of which 4 will be on QRA, leaving 14 for the Sqn's use.

Is it not 3? 2 in static and 1 flypast with F3/Spitfire?
Cheers for the information Dave.

no, as it stands, we are sending 2 statics only. the Typhoon in the flypast will be the 29 Sqn one that is there anyway.

As for the Sqn, we ARE scaled to get 18, but that is to cover 4 jets on QRA leaving 14 on the Sqn.

We are all members of the RAF, and are currently based at RAF CONINGSBY in Lincolnshire. In 2 weeks, the Sqn we are members of, namely 6 Sqn, is moving to RAF Leuchars in Scotland. That is a difference of over 350 miles.

Now, instead of the boring driving option, a Team from the Sqn will undertake the massive journey by Cycle. The team will complete the journey in 4 days, with the first 2 days being around 140 miles each day.

However instead of cycling over the Forth Road Bridge, some of the team will swim across the Forth River in Edinburgh before completing the run

The Team will arive at RAF Leuchars on Friday 10th September, which is the Press day for the annual Airshow which takes place on Sep 11TH.

the event will be Raising money for the Children's Hospice Association Scotland, (CHAS), so please give as much or as little as you can via the JUST GIVING website

to donate, simply click the banner in the first post.

many thanks

I hope so - depends if 6 Sqn get their text to us in time - they are speaking to the Air Historical Branch so hopefully we will have it in time to get the print done! :)
