Lossie Diverts Ib

Post by np1991 » Fri Dec 12, 2014 11:56 am

Heads up guys, multiple Typhoons ib to Leuchars now after a Typhoon took either the 23 or 05 cable and winds are out of limit for short runway at Lossie.
Cheers Niall

Just to add, Jedi 11,12 departed as Jedi 31, 32 in afternoon.

Other departures were Turbo 21,22.

Venom 23 and 24 were ground aborts approx 16.35, Venom 24 eventually left approx 17.25.

So it looks like ZK302/EC and ZK380/BG are still at Leuchars, and maybe up to 4 other typhoons.

11 Typhoons had to divert to Leuchars as one took the cable at Lossiemouth and due to the weather the rest couldn't land,it looks like this year as in previous years there will be more diversions in to Leuchars than all other RAF stations added together.

Thanks for the complete information bodger, I did wonder if more typhoons had landed, I only caught what came in between 12.05 and 12.20pm, then had to go out.

Jedi 11 was ZK335/FC, Venom 23 was ZK302/EC and Venom 24 was ZK307/BU.
