Leuchars this week!

Post by balamorybuzzed » Tue Feb 21, 2012 10:07 am

For anyone contemplating a visit it looks like a repeat of last week with the flying starting in the afternoon and continuing into the evening! Yesterday(mon 20th) flying began at 14.30l with 6 aircraft and the evening flying commenced at 18.00l with 3 identical pairs turbo11,12 venom21,22 jedi31,32. The jets returned between 20.00 and 20.30l.
As of now(10.00l), from my workplace in St Andrews, I can see that there are no jets out on the 6sqn line so this seems to confirm the above.

Hope this helps,

Michael

Would have been more useful if I'd read it before I arrived at 10:30! Three hawks in and out. Missed something else go up about an hour ago Q? No calls to start then taxi to bravo one and off it went.

Cheers, Ian

Afraid I didn't catch anything with that call sign. I'm lucky if I can make out 50% of any transmission. Sorry.

Hi Gazza,

Went along at 3 after work, didn't have the binocs am afraid. The 3 hawks left after 4pm, thought the pair used Osprey?? call sign and victor 66?? for the singleton. It was quite windy so hearing the scanner clearly was a trifle hard!!

Ian it was a Q jet, returned around half 3ish, but it cut off before end runway and returned to Southern HAS Complex

Sorry I couldn't help with full details guys,

Mikey
