Today is not a bank holiday in Scotland.
The Military have never followed the Scottish bank holiday schedule! :whistle:
It's an English bank holiday though, and they follow those.

There is still some activity tonight with the following aircraft still showing ;
Shadow ZZ417 SNAKE47 is giving Garelochhead some stick tonight but I suspect that the Glen Douglas Munitions Depot to the north is its 'target' ?
Chinook ZK560 LIFTER1 is also close by over the southern end of Loch Lomond .
Skyvan C-FARA is up off the coast SE of Leuchars .

A friend said she saw two. I only saw the one & only heard Machete on the scanner so assumed he was solo.

Unknown74 - the Apache's passed over to the West of the bypass, looked to be overhead Currie, possibly the Eastern end of Balerno.

REQUEST FOR TOMORROW'S POSTS ; as the exercise is due to last 3 weeks or so , to make life easier and avoid confusion it may be better to have threads for individual days rather than one thread for the full exercise ?

Woken up last night at 02.08, by what sounded like a Chinook passing Hawick. Saying sounded like, as although it was a deep beating noise it didn't sound like the traditional wokka wokka. Were there any Ospreys out and about early this morning?

Very very quiet base this evening. No movement of any kind, including the two legged ones. :(
