Re: exercise chameleon 2020
Thanks guys.
Flight of 4 would have had everyone out of bed - the first one over (Lifter 2) was very loud, even by Chinook standards.

Unusual too, to have those machines out & about up here so late on.

Will keep an eye for any Helicopters over Edinburgh over the next wee while. Is Arrivals Sunday as usual? Remember seeing the Apaches before.
Re: exercise chameleon 2020
Sunday would be the 30th......
That's the day after the Exercise starts.

Not heard anything transiting through though, we normally hear helicopters around this neck of the woods. Do they still cross near the Forth Bridges?
Re: exercise chameleon 2020
SD Victoria the ship that usually supports exercise now in Forth in Largo Bay. Usually anchored in St Andrews bay and around the area towards Barry Buddon.
It is visible on Boatwatch.
Sailed from Portsmouth.

Think ti was two years ago got a picture of the Cninooks over Barry Buddon .Both had 6 men dangling on a really long cable and they were moving a fairly high speed at a fairly low altitude.Would have been easy to bash some of the Danglers on the trees..Quite impressive
