Joint Warrior participants and info

Thought it would be a good idea to have all the information in one thread. You can still post singular threads about something if you want but I'll try and collect it all into a single topic here so people can see everything easily.

Macc your P3's are all from VP-16 " War Eagles" and the C130T is from VR-62 "Nomads" all based at Jacksonville NAS

The C40 should be from VR-59 "Lonestar Express" based at Fort Worth NAS

you would be surprised what they don't tell you....here's what I know and all from published Ex info: major para drop Stranraer next Monday morning (C130, sadly not C17), ant-submarine Ops all next week in Minches/Loch Ewe (so expect anti-sub aircraft), FAC work at Cape Wrath next week (aircraft from France, US, RAF, Sweden, maybe others too), week after next HMS Bulwark amphibious assault near Cape Wrath (expect to see French aircaft support as it has French Marines on-board; Merlin; Chinook; these exercises used to have have Harrier support so not sure what RAF will do this time). Other stuff: GPS gets switched off, naval smoke screens, underwater mine disposal. I would expect some uninvited visitors from Russia....

Cheers , i'll be at my usual point for the Monday departures as the Fleet [smaller than usual] head out through the North Channel so the Para drop could be within range and also D509 is active all day so there hopefully should be some happenings . Cheers Chris

I would advise all who plan on travelling to the west coast on Monday or Tuesday next week to watch potential action, that they check the weather forecast prior to doing so as at the moment it aint looking too good for anything!!

I think it came in from Sigonella with tail code "LL" which would make it from VP30, can anyone confirm this?
