Post by vulcanxl425 » Sun Dec 31, 2023 3:55 pm

Annual Lossiemouth review from my records of the year just about to finish. Unlike last year 2022 there has been a welcome increase in both military and civil aircraft visitors.
Military visitors 2023 - 271 (2022 - 181)
Civil visitors 2023 - 135 (2022 - 81)

The most common aircraft type visiting same as last year with the EMB145 with 76 visits (G-OFLX & G_OWTN). Followed by A400M from various nations with 36.
Different aircraft types visiting 44 (42 in 2022). MPA visiting further increase to 28 (24 in 2022) with a welcome back of a German P-3C first since 2021.

Highlights for the year perhaps the following
March -3 x German EF2000 (twice)
April - RAF RC135W (first visit)
" 9 x Local based Typhoons with practice diamond 9 formation
May - Norwegian AF P-8
