Did the Tornado arrive by road? Of note ZA554 was the a/c that was involved in the death of Mike Harland back in 2007.

One careful owner, full service history, sought after model in a fetching grey colour

Put it in the farmer's field so you can shoot over the fence
All previous airframes went to a scrapyard in Seaham I think. Don't see the point of moving it all the way up to Lossie just to scrap it.

Would it be set to go along the road to Morayvia by any chance?

According to Lossie Media & Comms on FB, it's due to become a gate guardian - apparently the elements have taken their toll on ZA475, so it will be replaced by ZA554.

Gate Guardian would be the most reasonable explanation.

Read the section under Marham. ZA554 is NOT staying at Lossie

And Thunder Has already said what the reason is behind its demise.

Vulcanone - is that the Fleet General Info thread? If I'm reading that right, is ZA554 due to be moved from Lossie and exchanged for ZA463? I wonder if Media & Comms weren't aware that there was due to be a swap and it's ZA463 that's destined to become the new gate guardian (though I see Integrale1 mentions "preservation" - would that preclude installation as a guardian?)

Indeed it is the fleet general info thread.
I have little or no real idea at the minute if they plan to do the same with whatever they get.
Preservation probably includes gate guardian duties.
