When did 9 Sqn stand up on Typhoon, thought is wasn’t until April with official date of 02/05?

Nice one Al, interesting to see that 9 sqn are active already out of Lossiemouth.
Out of interest where were they operating from, old XV line?
Looking forward to seeing the first 9 sqn marked up Typhoons. Hopefully one or two will be marked up by the time the May stand up parade happens.

They were operating from 6 Sqn's pan , think they are housed in the old TEF hangar so will share Bravo pan when 6Sqn return

Cheers Al and Mark, will hopefully manage a visit during JW1 this year.
Thought I wouldn't see anything of 9 sqn but if I'm lucky may get a bat tail typhoon at the back end of April

The RAF is doing what it has done in the past, X (designate) Sqn starts work ups while the other former Sqn commences rundown
