Dates Joint Warrior 19-1

Post by NAW » Tue Dec 11, 2018 1:37 pm

There are now two different dates for the Joint Warrior 19-1 exercise.
Scramble SIS-summary reports 22/4 until 5/5. But an earlier report on whatdotheyknow.com (MoD information) gives 30/3 until 11/4.
Also bear in mind that 22/4 is Easter Monday. Which are the correct dates?

I think scramble date is coming from :https://shape.nato.int/exercises/allied ... -exercises
Thought that would be reliable, but unsure now.

According to this MOD link:- https://www.contracts.mod.uk/announceme ... mber-2018/ the Navy have Information Warrior running from 25th March until 11th April 2019, utilising assets from Joint Warrior where possible.

Hope this help, Steve

I can now confirm from official sources that the dates originally provided by me back in August for 2019 are correct; 30 March — 11 April and 5 October — 17 October.

I had information from RAF Lossiemouth in OCT.2018 by email that the 2019 EX JOINT WARRIOR will run from April 1st to April 12th..... not sure about the second Exercise in OCT. so 100arw is just about spot on with his input.

Be nice if fast jets participated this year. Does anyone know if that's likely? Many thanks in advance.

Lossie will get occasional visits from USN MH60s during the exercise but no visiting fast jets are taking part and MPAs, as mentioned, heading to Prestwick for this exercise.

All irrelevant now as a well placed source advises that the Australians have cancelled.
