Were the Pavehawks up and about late last night? Had an unidentified helicopter flying around Inverness for a while just before midnight.

Must've been that then. Used to seeing them and hearing them over the house and work all the time that's why I dismissed it as such as it sounded very different last night, maybe testing exhaust mufflers :D

On another note does anyone know where the Turks are working when airborne, haven't seen any mention in the forums?

It went into Lossie to refuel. It was searching for a person in the water around Banff/ Macduff. Turned out to be a hoax though.

Turkish F-16s due to depart at least once today, first departure planned for 1600L today. Morning and afternoon sorties planned for Wednesday, morning only on Thursday. They depart for home on Friday with A400M and tanker support according to the Turks

Hi all,

Is there any indication when the Turkish contingent will be departing Friday and if the A400 and Tanker will join them at Lossie.

Cheers

Mike

Niall thanks once again for keeping us updated with thread and also to everyone who pitched in with info and updates, i must say this was one of the better JW exercises in the last few years the fast jet participants make all the difference with their shorter sortie times and the transport aircraft were first class, on the Friday morning (departure day) including the based jets there were 11 different type of aircraft/helicopters on station not a bad day indeed !, So heres to the next one Niall and we will leave you to carry with your day job (sorry that should be night job as this seems to be your day job) all the best everyone....
