Was only wondering the other day if any participants were expected for this, however weren’t USMC F-35’s mooted to attend a couple of years back and never materialised.

If you scroll to the bottom of the page it still has 10x USMC F-35B mentioned

I see Scramble has the ex listed for around 4 weeks. However is there any indication as to how long the USMC F35’s are going to be present. I seem to remember in 2023 that the French Navy Rafale’s were only up for around 1.5 weeks of the ex?

The SHAPE / NATO website gives the dates as 01-31 may

FORMIDABLE SHIELD

Formidable Shield is a multinational live fire integrated air and missile defence (IAMD) scenario located at the Hebrides Range, Scotland, focused on maritime operational and tactical interoperability between participants in a series of complex Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) and Air Defence (AD) scenarios. Includes air and land domain assets.

According to Scramble, the 10 x USMC F-35B have cancelled. Does anyone know if any other countries are planning to deploy to Lossiemouth for the exercise?

It will be interesting to see if anything arrives this week for the Ex. Hopefully, the German arrivals last week were a sign of things to come.

German is unrelated to Formidable Shield. I wouldn't get your hope up.
