Anyone for the third active P-8 from Keflavik, inbound Sigonella? It passed just south of Lossiemouth earlier this morning.

Looking at FR24 departures/arrivals and the info posted by Al above we should have:

YB757 Keflavik - Sigonella, using tactical Mode-S AE67BD

YB431 Keflavik - Lossiemouth, 168757 using correct Mode-S AE4EC2 - Can anyone confirm this was calling YB431 on RT?
YB337 Keflavik - Lossiemouth, using tactical Mode-S AE6818

Always gets confusing when one airframe calls the last 3 of a different airframe in the same airspace! Hopefully Hutch has a Satcom tie-up later for the one that went OTT

Did either one of these actually land at Lossie? I noted YB757 too over the Netherlands yesterday (from photo I can see sqn mks/code on the tail of this one).

The track of that one seemed Keflavik-Sigonella in a direct line, like Kurnass mentioned.

I also understand that 168757 was at Lossie on 24/1 departing to Kef. Does it carry mks on the tail?

Hope this helps getting it identified.

From pics on Lossie spotters Facebook group, the two to land at Lossie were 168757/YB and 169337/YB. Both VP1 marked.

Both 168757/YB and 169737/YB were parked at Lossiemouth yesterday morning . I left at lunchtime so cannot say how long they stayed.

Interesting Niall! YB431 is a VP-1 bird (168431) and co-incidently the last 3 callsigns do match up the serial of 169337. So in case of a frame swap, it's worth looking out if 168431 is indeed deployed now to Europe.

169337 is up now by the looks of it.

Is it already known which one was YB757 that went straight to Sigonella?

168431 departed yesterday from Sigonella as YB431. So 168431 should be the one.
