Five Apaches have arrived at Balado airfield, they are ZM701, 705, 710, 716 & 724 and should be present until around the 16th.
(With thanks to the Scotavnet Google group for the info).

There was a ZM709 showing tonight on ADSB and I'm wondering if they have changed an airframe or are the hex codes wrong? Had two fly low over the house tonight.

Danny, ZM701 departed 2 days ago and ZM700 arrived yesterday and was showing as ZM709, confirmed by eye

Thanks Iain. I've had them over the house a few times and not that I can make them out in the pics I took, but it's nice to know the reggies and try to ID them.

Any reports on how long they are staying?
Also where is best place to see them. Have only driven past the field and never visited.

All five were flying today, on adsb they went towards Otterburn training area, but i did not see them return to Balado. It was mentioned they were due until the 21st.
Cheers.

For LM 47
Take the A977 west from J 6 of the M 90, then right onto the B 918. Look right once you pass the first set of chicken sheds which are on the right. The cabs will be head on. Also some visibility from the A91 to the north of the airfield, but the furthest cab may only be showing rotors and mast. GPS N 56.211 degrees W 3.462
The 'preserved' JP is easily seen from the A91.

Saw them Mike, a 2 and then a 3 shipper, but too distant for any decent pics. They dropped off ADSB in the otterburn area.
