Please can anybody provide any detail on Typhoon FGR4 s/n ZJ922/QO-C. I cant find any record of a mishap date or how it was damaged at Coningsby.

All the best

All I know is that it departed Cby 5/10/16 (by road of course). Cat 4? ("Return to works"). I last saw it at the back of 5 hangar on 17/9/17, fuselage up on jacks, wings/fin separate nearby.

I thought, from memory (i may be wrong) that it suffered CAT4 damage in a birdstrike incident and after a number of years in storage pending a decision on whether or not to repair it it was one of the aircraft that was cannibalised for spares. It's now at Warton as a GIA as far as I know.
