ADS-B had the RSAF Herc tracking South at FL210 OTT Selsey then at the French Coast it did a 180 and trundled back showing at FL100 all the way. Problem or maybe
refused entry into French Airspace? Odd

Rumour has it there was a problem with either the pressurisation or an engine.

Tues 22/10/19

Last two Hawk Mk165 fuselages (ST043+44) plus 1 wingset noted on N.side apron awaiting tranportation to Silkway West B74F 4K-SW800 (which arr 1202L as "AZG5831" first visit from AMS), as it was pushed back onto cargo apron off runway (1220L). 'Convoy' of first wingset followed by both Hawk fuselages went across to cargo for loading @1236L. Also 2 bagged engines northside.
First hawk fuselage loaded into B74F just after 1300L, second by 1315L. 2nd wingset towed across 1325L and loaded 1334L. A 3rd wingset towed across airfield @ 1344L which was the last of the aircraft major units to be loaded. B74F departed as "AZG5832" @ 1640L.

ŹK356(?) T/o 25 @ 1343L "Fighter" (WTN69) plus ZK303/AX (BT17) following as "Target" @ 1345L. "Fighter" eventually landed 1530L after usual SRA/ILS approaches plus T/g's & go rounds.

Herk 1624 parked at far end of cargo from the Lump near perimeter road with nose facing south. No sign of another herk on its way (yet).

Cheers

Do you know what time Zk303 returned as I saw a typhoon arriving over the M6 at 1520 & trying to confirm which one?

Although I didn't note when ZK303 (BT17) returned (I wasnt out at Warton then), I would suggest it was most likely the single seater which you saw, eventually landing after various approaches to rwy 25 (note SRA/Talkdown or ILS approach would have brought it over the M6), at 1530L. The single seat was either ZK355 (BS116) or ZK356 (BS117) neither have last 3 of serial on fin unfortunately to read from a distance but BS117 the more likely as has been confirmed up very recently with BT17. The twinseater is normally easy to tell from some distance with a "humpbacked" front fuselage shape.

Cheers
