Re: June Movements
I notice the texans have now been doing approaches at Liverpool Apt & Hawarden (same sortie). Lets hope they "discover" Warton as well
but that would involve a direct track mostly over water...but they appear to minimise time over water to a minimum looking at typical sorties carried out so far..wonder why? I've already seen them flying from Valley but would be good if they ventured further Nth. Also some pairs sorties gone up using "Uzi" callsign (ex tucano).

I think apart from the Hawk T.1 & T.2 fleet (and the odd Tucano), the RAF are not aware that Warton exists!TombsRIP wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 7:29 amI notice the texans have now been doing approaches at Liverpool Apt & Hawarden (same sortie). Lets hope they "discover" Warton as well

Re: June Movements
I see Valley got 2 KLu F-16s visiting last week for Families (+ Enthusiast's) Day but none of the new Texans were reported flying on the Thurs. One on static (which I havent noted flying yet since it was delivered..ZM329) & 2 on egrs on Seahawk apron (ZM331+332) used by Affinity (beach side)

Even then the Tucano’s seem to favour Blackpool airport. The Tornado’s used to visit although I would have thought Typhoons would visit more often.chrisward123 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 9:24 am

Well currently we have 5 months of Tucanos left. Blackpool has been rather quiet without them lately

Still can’t believe there’s not been a visit from a F-35 yet.

Re: June Movements
Saw the spcl fin Hawk on approach from my sitting room window at 1156L...it would be nice if that C-17 did some approaches to Warton...would liven things up abit after (another) lacklustre week...no sign of that B727 appearing anytime soon...
Herk C.4 (C-130J-30) seen @ 1228L over Fylde hdg east: adsb gives it as ZH870 "Ascot 110"
[43C04C] seen on approach to rwy07 @1240L for t&go and circuits.
Cheers

Just as you say you wish the C-17 would do some circuits, ZH870/Ascot110 arrives on cue for x12 circuits to liven things up abit!TombsRIP wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 11:06 amSaw the spcl fin Hawk on approach from my sitting room window at 1156L...it would be nice if that C-17 did some approaches to Warton...would liven things up abit after (another) lacklustre week...no sign of that B727 appearing anytime soon...

Saw it over Blackpool Airport descending towards Warton
Re: June Movements
Bit like a certain movie...I'll be back!! He did indeed return for one last overshoot before climbing out over Blackpool then turning south.
Re: June Movements
Definately "groundhog" day watching it on approach to 07 from Lytham. Started to time it ..about approx 5-6 mins per circuit except the last time noted was at 1346L (must have gone further out to west for SRA/Talkdown I guess) before the low overshoot/flythrough & depart.
Camo looking decidedly "tatty" now.

Re: June Movements
On the Tutor front, 2 recent arrivals at Woodvale to look put for (if so inclined :-) are G-BYXL &
G-BYXO....not sure which 2 they replaced but obviously G-BYUY & G-BYVI still based plus G-BYUL. Should also be G-BYVP there as well. Normally 8 there or has this number now been reduced...

AT-6 Texan II N610AT @ 25kft ex GLA heading SSE passed just east abeam Preston a few mins ago but as usual weather not playing ball. Would have been difficult enough to spot with blue skies..in a 2 tone grey camo...yet another that got away! (Snap Chris :-)
