Last Saudi C-130 Visit

Post by TonyO » Sun Apr 07, 2019 11:29 am

Can anyone advise when the last one visited Warton? Seems like quite a while ago? They used to visit 2-3 times a month?

The logs below should prove useful.

They don't visit at least once a month now. I recall seeing 3 on the ground when one had gone u/s. More like once/twice a year...
Once regular C-130H 473 was in on 15th Jan departing on 17th callsign "RSF600". We have had 2 visits by a stretched fuselage version in a newer grey scheme in the last year or so which made an interesting change.
Cheers

It got his clearance to Warton upon departure from Iraklion. So should indeed arrive late afternoon.

Like waiting for a bus....

As posted on daily movements thread another saudi herk arr Tues 30/4 472 "RSF170". Due to depart late am/early pm today (2/5). Is still in sand camo but I notice that Sqn badge on fin (presume 4 Sqn from serial). 1626, which was in various shades of grey, also had Sqn mks applied on fin (presume 16 Sqn from serial). I dont recall seeing sqn mks when they were visiting regularly a few years ago.
