February 2019 Log/Movements
Re: February 2019 Log/Movements
Based on the way the Voyagers do things over the rest of the country every other day. I'd hazard a guess, no it won't be doing a PD.
Re: February 2019 Log/Movements
I agree. Voyager will most likely either continue to another RA off east coast for other taskings or route back to BZZ via WAL and Shawbury.Cheers

Tues 19/2/19 cont/d
Tarnish 10 in BT017 rec ILS app 25 + t&g 1316z & landed 1319z.
as posted under Tornado Flypast topic but I'll repeat here - those jets involved were:
ZD716/DH spcl 31 Sqn fin mks
ZD744/092;
ZA542/035.
c/sign (unsurprisingly)" Tornado 01-03" resp.
092 & 035 were obviously ground spares replacing ZG752 & ZG775.
ZA542 had only arrived back from Akrotiri 4th Feb & ZD744 a day later (Op Shader duties)
Cheers

Tornados were awesome. Naze Lane was manic though. Honestly surprised police didn’t turn up the way people were parking blocking the road etc

Busiest i've ever seen it! Bad luck for that lorry driver who had to negotiate all those carsCampbell89 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 5:08 pmTornados were awesome. Naze Lane was manic though. Honestly surprised police didn’t turn up the way people were parking blocking the road etc

Anyone else see the news snippet on BBC NW Tonight, around 18.50? Couldn’t help but laugh, story about the Tornado and it’s farewell flight. They went on to speak about its combat debut in the first gulf war and in typical BBC style... show footage of a Jaguar.

I was there, bet 70% of them where there just because they have heard about it on Facebook and desperate to take the kids out somewhere.Campbell89 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 5:08 pmTornados were awesome. Funny how I heard some kids say ‘is that it’ when they came over.

Likewise, got there around 10am and it was pretty busy then. Around 1pm onwards was ridiculous.powerslave wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 9:11 pmI was there, bet 70% of them where there just because they have heard about it on Facebook and desperate to take the kids out somewhere.Campbell89 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 5:08 pmTornados were awesome. Did you spot the Hawk that went over at around 2k feet approx 1pm ish? One from 100 squadron went east to west, wasn’t half shifting the speed he went over. Caught a couple of glimpses of him through the cloud.

IPA6 seen on climbout rwy 25 @ 1129z. Flown by WTN10. Seen 1246z just off Lytham on App rwy 07 (Talkdown/SRA); landed 1259z after(at least) 3 T/gs & a go-round (overshoot).
ZK438/BS154 towed put onto MTA NW side airfield (1155z). WTN69 dep off rwy 07 @ 1529z in BS154 on flt3.Primer typhoon seen recovering from NNW just to east Lytham @ 1647z. Think Tarnish 69 did initials break rwy 25 & go round (1650z). Then radar vectors for ILS25 & t&g 1700z. Visual circuit & go round; land 1706z.
Valley Hawk (ZK037) snuck in for an ILS25 & overshoot 1656z just ahead of BS154.
Texans finally flying at Valley this afternoon (ZM324 & ZM328 both up).
Wonder how long we have to wait to see one at Warton? Hopefully not as long a wait as for our first F-35B!
Cheers
