Went over my bedroom. Tug07 is fetching her in once he plugs the headset so he can talk to the top pilot who landed safely.

Re: Saudi 747 Cargo.
Yes I admit it I was wrong about it not coming into Warton last night. Saw it on the way in to work with the nose open about 08.00 No doubt another one will be here in about 3 months time if the same interval applies.

Re: Saudi 747 Cargo contd contd
Almost...the "lump" landed at Dhahran (king abdulaziz AB) to SE of king fahd Intl Apt at around 1728z (approx 6hrs 37mins after dep warton). Although the hawks are based at Tabuk (king faisal AB) with 21 & 79 Sqns, the BAE/saudi 90/100 stage hawk final assy facility is at Dhahran.Tarnish9 wrote:Fantastic watching her lift off, short distance and quiet, wow and I just tracker her for the last 6 1/2 hours all the way to King Fahd International Airport. Note the full extent of Dhahran is not accurately marked on FR24 map for example, most likely deliberately so. It's a large area of real estate thats for sure with F-15s & Tonkas based there.

Re: Saudi 747 Cargo contd contd
Good afternoon TombsRIP, thank you for the information. Funny you said this, I did track her all the way very close to King Fahd International but she just disappeared off the radar and at the time she was still over 1000 feet. So yes I go along with what you say, I did try google earth just to check around where she vanished off FR24 thinking FR24 maybe at fault.TombsRIP wrote: Note the full extent of Dhahran is not accurately marked on FR24 map for example, most likely deliberately so. It is all very interesting all of this, keeps me up late at night now, even more when you track one individual aircraft. I just hope Admin and Mods don't mind our chatter on the following of aircraft. I for one don't want to get anybody into trouble as Guests can read these posts in this section.

Re: Saudi 747 Cargo.
It will be a bonus if the Saudi 747 Cargo arrives on the 9th, May because the Royal Aeronautical Lecture on that date is
"Bush Pilot in Australia's Northern Territory" by Paul Catanach Business Jet Pilot Farnborough. The lecture will be held
in the Lecture Theatre at Warton at 18.30pm an hour earlier than usual.

Re: Saudi 747 Cargo.
Unfortunately Paul Catanach is unavailable and his lecture is to be rearranged to 10th, October,2018 so the lecture scheduled for that date by Terry Smith BAE Systems Retired High Alpha Testing & Flight Safety is being brought forward to the 9th, May, 2018,AndrewBarclay wrote:It will be a bonus if the Saudi 747 Cargo arrives on the 9th, May because the Royal Aeronautical Lecture on that date is
