Perhaps somebody who visited Warton today Thursday the 2nd April, could do a log from 3.0pm onwards it sounded like a mini airshow was taking place,

Seems that two Typhoons flew on 2nd April: ZK303/AX and CS034/ZK604, latter one in primer scheme. Correction: CS034/ZK603 was the primer one.

Hi TM74,

I think you mean ZK603 as the primer one. See index.php

LOF could Stand for Log Of Flying but I obviously hit the F key and not the G Key. So I will amend the word.

Log for Monday 7th, April, 2015 Tarnish 69 flew today in two different Typhoons.

13.15pm Tarnish 69 in primer Typhoon ZK 601 Tarnish 69 lined up the Typhoon opposite Granvilles Gate
on runway 25 plugged in the EJ 200s and rotated at Charlie taxiway pulling the Typhoon into a vertical climb
after 10 seconds in the climb out rolled inverted and continued to come out of the roll still climbing vertically
before the sound of the EJ 200s faded.

Tarnish 69 when he returned to base flew a nice casual left hand leg descending into the Warton overhead with a
run and brake followed by the Fighter Pilot brake keeping the nose wheel up until the speed bled to nearly zero.

15.53 I decided to observe Tarnish 69 from Bank Lane in Typhoon AX ZK 303 this time a dry rotation up to 8k again off R25.

Throughout the day the audience got bigger and bigger.

Jim Brittain who is well known amongst the Warton Spotters and a member of Avro Lancashire, was on Radio Lancashire this morning, he was explaining how as a flight safety engineer he had strapped Tim Ferguson into the Jaguar on that very morning 40 years ago.

Below is a grainy Youtube video of the landing which appears towards the end of this grainy video.

Whilst travelling to our monthly meeting of Avro Lancashire at Warton yesterday evening at 19.20pm I was delighted to see the Tornado GR4 Coded 090 entering the Warton overhead at low level from the 07 end wings fully swept at a fast speed completing a dumb bell and flying a low app[roach on 25 before landing.

The guys at the meeting stated that it had been a fantastic afternoon with stupendous reheat rotation by both Tarnish 5 & 9 both fully recovered from flying Hawks
in far away places. nice pic on the photo section.

As we get ready for another imminent delivery of R.S.A.F typhoons here are some already in Theatre along with F15s etc.

Yesterday afternoon the 7th, May arrived late afternoon as Typhoon IPA 1 ZJ 699 rotated dry off 07 steady climb out when the pilot returned just over an hour later, he proceeded to commence general handling in the Warton overhead at first because he was at high altitude you could only hear EJ 200s as he traversed the sky in different directions, eventually the Typhoon spiralled down to enter down wind into the circuit.

Today at about 10.00am I heard a Typhoon fly over Wrea Green climbing to height on arrival at Warton I was informed it was ZK 368 on its first flight.

Typhoon ZK 350 was parked outside 358 hangar. The threatened rain was imminent so I left to watch The V.E. Anniverary marches.

From the view out of my office window, it looks like the three 41 squadron Typhoons will be heading back to Coningsby soon.

Unfortunately there were no photographers to capture your image in the 146. hope you had a pleasant flight home. However if you scroll down to current military photography you will find some superb images of the three Typhoons captured by Mickey S when they arrived at EGNO yesterday.

15.20 41 Sqd Typhoons Apollo 1 & 3 rotated dry from 25 followed at 15.30pm by the other 41 SQ Typhoon Apollo 2 again a dry rotation from R 25 RTB CBY.

Apollo called upon 339.250 and when air born switched to 341.775.

As the Typhoons were warming up a R.S.A.F. C 130 Hercules landed and is now parked up on cargo.
