Southport Air Show in July instead of September.

Post by johnhowe » Fri May 20, 2011 7:00 pm

The Southport Airshow will be taking to the skies earlier than usual this year, with the show be held on Saturday 23rd & Sunday the 24th, July, 2011.

There is a Premier Package which includes Access to private marquay from 9am to 5pm
Free tea and coffee served until 4,30pm with pastries served in the morning and biscuits in the afternoon.
Picnic Lunch.
Carparking included in a reserved area close to the marquee.
Private toilet facilities and marquee along with entrance to Pier, are fully accessible.
Airshow Program for every guest.

Tickets are priced at Adults £60.00p and £40.00p for children up to 14 years of age.

I went last year and it was good value for money especially when the heavens opened, the food was excellent,
and we had 9(1) VIPs after they finished their display.

For anyone who is taking PlanePlotter out and about I'll be running a couple of systems here on Wirral to try and keep pace with any incoming traffic.

You'll need master user status to see them as they will be mainly mil and non plotters

The change from September to July paid dividends weatherwise. The highlight of the Airshow for me, was The Vulcan, closely followed by the GR4 Tornado X2 beach attacks, the Reds, the Merlin and The Blackcats. The added benefit of being
in the elevated position on the pier was a godsend.
