Are the Breitling Jet Team with their Estonian civil reg L-39C Albatrosses also due in for Blackpool Airshow? I note it's cancelled today with strong gusts this afternoon. Now due to start 1pm tomorrow (Sun). Presume the BJT arrival has either been delayed until Sun (or canx altogether?). If I recall they were in at Blackpool airport (when it was an airport) in 2002 as the Khalifa Jet Team with a 4 ship display. Now with more aircraft (although one crashed in sept 2012 near Kleine Brogel but thankfully pilot got out OK!) they display with 7 jets at airshow venues, all ex military airframes although civil owned (& based at Dijon).

Also noted on ground at the Gate was CCF T-6J Texan G-BGPB in Portuguese AF (FAP) mks and serial 1747. dep 1628L presume back to Duxford. The Chinook is a HC.6A - been through conversion/upgrade at QinetiQ Boscombe Down - rotors running (hot) refuel and dep 1500L.

Did the two Typhoons depart around 16.15 - 16.30? Was walking towards south pier from tower when I thought I heard the pair taking off.

Only 1 took off, possible display elsewhere? not sure if it returned.

a Typhoon returned after 2nd display of day, at 1655L. The pair departed today (Mon) @ 1140L.

Many thanks for the tie-ups Chris, looked like there was more than four (seen from end of the M55) but I assume they did a run and break. I don't think ZF147 is correct though, its an unallocated serial.

First day back at work! It was ZF417.

You are correct due to Traffic ZF417 & ZF139 conducted a few Go Arounds etc.
