As I was volunteering on RSR I could'nt go to Southport today, but I finished early in time to see the two Lancasters fly over the Fylde and join the Blackpool circuit G KC A landed first whilst the Canadian Lancaster C. VER A flew around the blackpool area waiting its turn to land.

How appropriate that both Lancasters should taxi within a few hundred yards of Amy Johnson Way on the industrial estate, both lancasters were parked near Blackpool ATC Tower.

I went to Blackpool again today Sunday to see the two lancasters. First they flew off to Southport to display returned to blackpool both lancasters flew directly over our position which is the half finished buildings off Amy Johnson Way. Yesterday Typhoon rotation was a dry
one with just a steady climb out to the display. Today was a spectacular one with reheat engaged and a vertical climb out to the airshow, the
RTB into the Blackpool circuit was equally impressive.

The two lancasters were on the ground for a few minutes before they taxied out to the dispersal to be joined by the Hurricane and Spitfire, some more photo opportunities for the small numbers of people present. Both lancasters rotated and a flew down the beach past the BlacxkpoolTower before turning inland.

A red/white jet provost flew east to west down the runway low level before landing.

In a nice gesture the Airport groundstaff drove to our position to inform us that the Vulcan after its display at Southport would fly down the
Blackpool runway west to east which it did at 16.20pm AS i was leaving two Bulldogs rotated aland with the JP.

Info from a reliable source the two RAF Typhoons are due to fly out at 10.00am on Monday the 22nd, September.
