Flew into Church Fenton a couple of weeks ago (while we can still afford the landing fee), This news perhaps explains why an apparent fortune is being spent on refurbishing the hangars.

"PLANNERS have given the green light for a former RAF air base in North Yorkshire to be used for commercial film making.
An application for the change of use of land and buildings at RAF Church Fenton, near Tadcaster, was granted for five years on a unanimous vote by Selby District Councillors"
