Wednesday 02/10/19 Quick Log

Post by LTFT5 » Thu Oct 03, 2019 8:18 am

Hi to all,
With the weather being glorious in the morning I made an early morning start to avoid traffic in Hull and York which saw me at the fence-line on Wednesday for 08.45.
Runway 03 was in use which is what I had hoped for.
However runway changed to 28 after about 14.00 but it answered my original question..........
They do return to the ramp via the helicopter landing point so all was not lost.
Good to speak to Paul for the day.

Quick log please add if there are omissions:
Tucanos T.1 all seen on the ramp at some point. All ZF...

My last visit to Linton on Ouse, I will be very sad to see it go as I have visited every year since the late 70s.
I wish everybody at Linton the very best for the future what ever it may hold.

Well said Andy,

I was there as well until just after lunch in the silver Astra. Agreed a great day at a great RAF Airfield, RIP.

Andy, nice to meet you again.
Paul C, nice to meet you as well.

It was a very pleasant and productive morning (despite the rather cold breeze). Reported elsewhere a Typhoon overshot ~3pm (umarked and in poor light), I presume you were well gone by then...

Will certainly aim to get back again before the demise at the end of the month.

Paul.
