I should be most grateful if anyone can provide the IDs of the four Qatari Hawks on the line during the day (three flew I believe) - and if at all possible, the identity of the third RAF 230 sqdn Puma (other than XW231/N and ZA940/V)

Perhaps approaching this from another angle - can anyone who was present on this day provide the identities of the three Qatari Hawks operating as "Javelins 50, 52 and 53". Either by taking a retrospective look at their photographs, or simply having noted these by means of the naked eye.

That would be most helpful

David

I am most grateful for your assistance. That answers my Qatari Hawk query admirably.

No doubt the identity of the third Puma will be flagged up eventually

Kind regards

Ian

Bit of digging on facebook:

3 pumas were deployed for a week 14-18 March
XW231
ZA940
Not sure on the third but two were noted with N and V codes (possibly the two above, but possibly the third).

Hope this helps
Mark

XW231 is 'N' and ZA940 is 'V', I've not seen the ID of the third one mentioned anywhere.

XW235 Q is the likely suspect for the third one. Seen on ADSB with the other two later in the week, all with Ambush callsigns.

Thank you Duke 83.

That is most helpful - no doubt it may well be confirmed if some enthusiast(s) has, or have, been able to positively identify this third Puma
