YorkNite Day 9 : Friday 4 December 2020
NOTAM for an early finish today at 17:00 and I suspect a half-time change around with the Helvetic EMB-190 back for a crew change ? Probably !

It sounds like there’s a Hornet 2 ship up already
Might they be swapping some jets?
Sounds like callsign SUI404?
Comms on 255.675

The callsigns sound more like transit flights with Swiss AF 404 and 472 heard on 270.05 and alt of 34k and 135deg headings - swapping of jets? The last two ship said goodbye to the tower.

Any suggestion as to why they would swap jets as well as crews? The aircraft that have been here seem to have had good availability.

Re: YorkNite Day 9 : Friday 4 December 2020
A video on the Leeming FB page indicates the first two weeks will involve a lot of junior pilots who are still going through their PC-21 / F-18 conversion so "perhaps" they might not need so many twin-seats for the next phase and will swap them out for single seaters. That`s just a hypothesis.
Presently SUI 404 / 402 have returned and SAF 401 is inbound. If it actually turns out to be a twin-seat / single seat swap, we`ll see.
I could just be talking rubbish. It has been known :-)

So the complete batch right now would be J-5002 5005 5011 5014 5016 5017 5020 5021 5025 5234
