Leeming Veiwing Car Park

I have been down to Leeming a couple times in the last month on a Wednesday and the car park gates were locked.

Does anybody know if this is going to be the usual situation or has any one any idea what is happening.

I used to come of the exit before Leeming if you were heading north and park up at the top of the farmers field entrance much better view imo.
How do you know nothing is going on Btw?

There are certainly better places to spot from, but there's only 100sqn hawks present at the moment and only a few movements each day.

But are the gates still locked?

I don't often post on here but
1) respect the local residents
2)It's the MOD'S land: they control access
3)It could be nothing to do with airfield activity
BEST -check the NOTAM's for Leeming and see if there is parachute activity planned.....nearly always closed when this is happening.

I was there yesterday along with a number of others, it was open
