Hi all,

I paid a visit to see these on Thursday (13th) (White Toyota Auris if you were in the car park!)

And have edited up a video of Gripen action we were treated to that day - and the rain showers too!

Shot from the viewing area, and in the afternnon also the lanes around the Sewage works / Scrapyard (charming area!) at the RW16 end.

https://youtu.be/nIpIaVZJWgk

Kit is a Panasonic GH4 camera with 100-400mm lens (equiv to 800mm - which came in v. useful!)

Hope you like

Cheers
Alan

Hi Folks

Quick visit Saturday 15th 1200L

8 outside. Reading from left to right
222 264 269 286 285 283 274 257 with a few gaps in between.

No idea if the missing ones are in the HAS complex or actually tucked away being worked on.
Thanks to whoever decided they should be left visible over the two weekends :thumb:

Kind regards

Mike

Question regarding Friday 14th. There were two Gripens out calling Lizard 37 & 38. One was confirmed as 212; did anyone see them go and can confirm the other?

Suspect more will come clear towards the end of the week, don't believe there is a confirmed time for any movement on Friday as of yet.

39212 dep destination unknown at 0912L c/sign Quebec 99. It landed back with 257 & 285 which had got airborne as Stakki 57/55 resp at 1441L. These were the last 3 to land back.

Lunchtime "wave"
Croc 31/32 247+289 up 1214-1351L
Croc 33/34 264+269 up 1200-1310L
Stakki 35/36 283+286 aborted pairs dep 1208L & stream takeoff 1215L. Landed back 1314/1315 (283 overshoot 1313)
Stakki 37/38 274+257 pairs T/O 1228L. Landed back 1406L.

2x Pave Hawk "Jolly 11 Flt " arr 1340L and dep along rwy hdg to north at 1443L.
Photoproofed as 206 + 212
I did not note 39276 either flying or on ground throughout day -had it already departed? 222 was towed from HAS area and remained on fltline as spare.
HTH anyway

Anyone know about departures on Friday. I may have the day off and fancy a trip down if there's possibly departures and transports happening.

Thanks
Danny

You won't see any Gripens depart on Friday unless there is a straggler or two left over from today.
