C17s are in and out this week with support equipment. 8 x A10's from the 442FW Whiteman are due and AC130s will operate out of Mildenhall

Is that A-10's to be based at Leeming or at the Hall ?

Rumour on another forum there may be A-10s on the static at RIAT, seems logical that they will be from this deployment. Have to wait and see!

The info kicking about or rumours saying the A-10 are not arriving until at least Friday, so unfortunately I can't see any being static. Shanwick ALTRV should be posted Wednesday or Thursday if they arrive plan to arrive on Friday. A-10s usually island hop via either The Azores or rarely Iceland, rather than fly direct. So if they if they go via the Azores should see the Santa Maria ALTRV as early as Tuesday
I'm at RIAT from Wednesday morning, so hopefully one of the other NOTAM watchers can post it

And, if they really are KC A-10's then it's highly unlikely they'll go direct from Whiteman to Lajes/Kef. Much more likely that they'll stop over at a base on the East Coast - rest up for a day, then continue to Lajes/Kef, rest up for a day, then continue to Leeming. They won't be leaving Whiteman tomorrow (some insignificant public holiday about not being able to brew a decent cuppa). Strikes me earliest arrival is Saturday if they leave Tuesday.

A10's confirmed - possible Ospreys at least visiting - transport due from Wednesday
I posted rumours about this months ago - so glad it's happening

typically I'm away though for most of it

On Donna Nook, a flight made a few "dry" runs. Donna tower asked if they were going "hot". Lead pilot replied "we haven't got any bullets with us"

the Area's in the Notam are all Northbound, don't think they are going to Donna Nook.

Could the NOTAM posted for tomorrow be the A10s going to Keflavik????
Seems strange if it is for the F-22 as surely they would come via MIMKU like the F35s

Too high for A-10s I have thought; but I have been wrong on this before!
