GR.4 on main ASP

Hi All

A single GR.4 was pulled out of one of the hangars today and placed on the main asp...ZG707/119...this apparently arrived at Leeming for the RTP programme but was saved and apparently is being returned to service, so maybe a test flight soon?

I thought the RTP only referred to the Tornado fighters - I hadn't realised nor read anywhere, that GR were also being scrapped, thanks for the update.

Not all of the Tornados at Leeming are there for RTP. Some are undergoing maintenance or are in storage.

Once the GR4s started going into Leeming they were prioritised over the F3s due to the obvious commonality of parts.

Looks like one more in for RTP ZD740 "088" landed to ASP

I was at Leeming on Wednesday and ZG707/119 was due to go for a test flight around 1600 but was having some kind of technical issues. Are the Transalls coming back to collect the equipment today or tomorrow ?

No info on the transports to collect equipment from GAF deployment.

1 GAF Tonka is still here, should be 46+56 may be tech.
