German Tornado's

Hi

Can anyone confirm that the Germans will be arriving this Thursday ? I am going to book the day off if they are. It still states the 1/10/15 on scramble for x6 jets.

I just heard on my scanner a German call sign ask leeming if they could give them information on the use of Spadeadam for tomorrow and Wednesday, the tower replied saying it would be best if they called Spadeadam once they were on the ground, I've heard nothing from them since.

Yep GAF C-160 was due DTV at 14:45. Also Belgian F-16s in the Vale of York today...

C160 Transall 51+09 c/s GAF946 landed at Teesside at 15:20 and is due to hop down to Leeming to unload tomorrow morning .

I popped by around 2.30pm

Hawks operating again from leeming - 6 squirrels here as well - photo shoot taking place on pan with cadets - a tornado (40 anniversary gr4 white tail and red fuselage), hawk, fire service and bowsers ?

No sign of the Germans!!

Two tornados have just headed SE at 1830 not sure if came from leeming or just using the gap home I'm approx six miles NE from leeming

My 'speculation' on previous exercise participants have stood up to scrutiny of the facts vs heads up info after the event I think. If not in exact numbers, which can change due to many operational reasons between planning and execution, then at least in participant nations, types, and operating bases, for the vast majority of the information given.

As to who says, that's not something you need to know. Perhaps they'd be better not bothering to pass it on in the future.
