Joint Warrior 142

Post by 10w » Mon Sep 22, 2014 10:43 am

Running from 6th to 16th October, Leeming will host 2 USN P3s and 2 French Atlantiques for this exercise. US P8 also taking part but will most likely operate from Teesside.

Teesside? Have they checked out the fire cover? And the local accommodation?

It was due to the fire cover at leeming that it went to Teesside - leeming were at capacity

Volcanex is on at the same time so the likelihood is that there will be a lot of more aircraft than usual.

Fire crew will be increased to 10 man team 24/7 during JW - with existing base aircraft - visiting JW aircraft (big birds at that) and Volcanex traffic it was deemed more appropriate that the P8 operated from Teesside

There may also be transiting aircraft refuelling - all in all every aspect has to be considered for their fire capacity

Should be a busy couple of weeks

Hi all, do any of you chaps have info on Navy LK04 inbound from St John's please? Noted with Gander HF earlier this morning, destination EGXE. Selcal code JKBS belongs to a P3 (last noted as TALON49 on 14May12) but I don't have a REG for it. No REG on FPL either.

Any of you chaps local to ID it for me please? I'm in north Leeds but it's a bit of a drive from here and I don't have any bins  .

The arrival from PIK would explain the lack of C-17 last night...

Agreed Jacob. Shame about the poor information from a usually reliable site!

P3 *may* be AE1D4B 161333, noted over Donaghcloney at FL240 1007z using FMC callsign VVLT621.
