212, 257, 264, 269, 274, 276 and 289 have all visited Lossie since 2011, the rest may have as well but I can't be bothered going any further back.

Both UH-60s and eleven of the Gripens are still outside at 12:30 Sunday lunchtime 9/10

(I needed 7 out of 13, the others I saw at Lossie 2010, Coningsby and also two transiting Mildenhall enroute Red flag a few years back)

UH-60s looked packed ready for transport this afternoon parked next to the 11 Gripens.

Thanks
They flew 3 sorties today;
First sortie departed around 9:25
Second sortie departed around 12:10
Third sortie departed around 15:15

Hopefully that will be the same throughout their stay and help you/others plan a visit.

264 and 269 towed from their shelters at 08:15 so all 13 are outside again.
Viewing area is closed though?

Since Sweden isn't in NATO, and JW is a NATO exercise, surely this deployment is not part of JW?

The Swedish armed forces take part in some NATO exercises including JW, they also contribute Naval and Land assets to the exercise from time to time as well. However I'm lead to believe that this deployment is in connection with Noble Arrow?

Plus have we not had Brazillians, New Zealanders and Australians taking part in Joint Warrior / Neptune Warrior in the past? all of whom are not NATO memers.

Sweden is a NATO Partner.

The Gripens are playing in Joint Warrior as part of the exercise scenario, but are also enablers for Noble Arrow which is running as a subset. The latter exercise is to provide the UK Joint Force Air Component with certification signing them off as the air component for the NATO Response Force in 2017. JFAC will be providing command and control of NATO air assets in Joint Warrior, including the Gripens, with the assessment of their performance being undertaken by NATO staff under the Noble Warrior banner. Noble Mariner, which is the maritime equivalent of Noble Arrow, will also be run during Joint Warrior so NATO can assess and sign off the maritime component for the NATO Reaction Force 2017.

3 sorties flown again today with I'm sure 9 Gripens up each time , similar to yesterday . The wind turned slightly for the last sortie in the afternoon with 16 being used for dep & landings .
On the last sortie of the day the twin seat landed 1st after carrying out a couple of high photo passes , followed my a nice 4 ship break over the field & the following flight of 4 came in as a single followed by a 3 ship break to land , all aircraft on the ground & put to bed by 17.20 .

Stewart .

Forgot to metion that there was a delay to flying 1st thing this morning due to possible fuel contamination in a tanker  , this was overheard by somebody on their scanner .

We've had jets overhead the last few evenings and I wondered if it was them or if it's the mob from Coningsby...

Ta

It was Coningsby.

Just been told that 292 has gone home and swapped over with 222 this afternoon, Neither seen by myself.

The other 12 were all outside at lunchtime
