Yorknite 2021
Re: Yorknite 2021
It was nice to see the Swiss over again. Shame they didn't come through the Lakes more often. Maybe next year?

So that leaves J-5004, J-5008 and J-5016.
Of these, does anyone know which one flew as "Sixpack 31" on Thursday afternoon and which also, in addition to J-5008, had an engine problem? I think it was the last Hornet to recover that day.

If you kept a note of times, the following info might help. According to the time stamps on my camera, a wave of five (J-5234, 5018, 5026, 5238 and 5016) landed between 15.43 and 15.46. J-5004 took off as singleton at 15.33 and a singleton landed at 16.30 but by then it was too dark to see the serial. Sorry I don't have callsigns. There were no other landings in those timescales apart from Hawks.

From what you`ve told me, it looks very likely it was J-5004 as there was single a/c on airtest, landing about 16:30.Sprague wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 10:57 amIf you have a note of times, this might help. Thanks for the help.

J-5004 & J-5008 departed today as a pair, J-5016 departed today on it's own. All gone for another year!
