Two A10s Harome 1am flying NW (Leeming bound I assume) and a fast and low F15 (with invisible company behind the trees) noon flying SE down Ryedale . Dilettante that I am , I wish I knew even what one in ten of the acronyms in this thread meant ....

Having seen scores of A10s here in days gone by I had forgotten both how quiet and how 'square rigged ' they look

Hi Everyone

Could any of you guys who have recently been to Leeming to view the A10s etc enlighten me on what the parking is like.

I have a good chance of being close by on Friday afternoon and it would be worth my while dropping by... just wondered if the parking was ok?, viewing area open?

I very much appreciate any help given.

Did somebody has a log from today??

25373 + 23652 working on firing range at Otterburn from 1300-1620 ish this afternoon. Puma came in twice to drop off and then pick up personnel from the range.
Lots of Eagles overhead and 2x A-10`s in the afternoon carrying out a couple of straffing runs....one of which was "123"

Any sign of the rumoured AC-130(s)? Not seen any mentions. Many thanks.

Hi Tiger 1
Parking is good. When called at 11.30 on Tuesday the viewing area was open and there was plenty of room.
If it's shut you can pull onto the the grass verge on the opposite side of the road.

Parking - could the idiots responsible for strewing litter across the parking area at Leeming come back, pick it up , f***k off home and don't bother to come back ? Thanks- and almost certainly given in vain...

It would be better if the litter bins were removed altogether as if one thing creates more litter it's bins...

This was noted on Tuesday too and I believe reported ? Unfortunately the crows also pick the rubbish out of the bins and make a mess !

Just in case people tire of going to Leeming and want a change and want to visit Spadeadam or Otterburn but don't know which are the best areas to view see viewtopic.php?f=121&t=10965 Note to Mods I know this is what might be considered to be double posting but I'm only trying to be helpful and I wouldn't want Dan to get upset again.

Does anyone know what Low Level transit routes the A10's are taking from Leeming to Spade and back? Apologies if this has been asked previously, I haven't had time to scan all the previous posts.....

The A10's have been seen going north up the coast and then inland from Amble or more directly through Weardale following the A68 and returning using the same routes as they give access to both Otterburn and Spadeadam .

Thanks, I had seen reports of them taking Garsdale valley on return to Leeming so was wondering if they were venturing into the Lakes as well?

A query about the MH6's departing and returning from the airfield. Are they using the runway and approaching and departing the same as fixed wing aircraft, or are they manoeuvring to and from the HAS site at their own discretion?

Does anyone know if there will be flying on Monday and Tuesday this coming week?

I remember seeing a post stating the Ex traffic would operate Weds-Fri, hoping that's not the case this week given the weather forecast...

On Thursday they were in and out of the HAS site at the North Eastern end of the disused.
There is a FARP set up somewhere over there.
