Hi Youth ,
I echo Mike S's sentiments , please keep us informed of movements if you can , their much appreciated :thumb: ,
I would love to be still down there & posting info on here but work & being on call this weekend sorted that out , It's nice to see a few more people posting info on here today ,KEEP IT UP .

For the amount of people who have been spotting there this week is suprises me about the lack of information being posted on here , trying to get info from some people is like trying to pull teeth , when I asked twice what the freq was for German Tiger opps clearly coming from a scanner I was told - don't know , a sad reflection on our hobby methinks :( .

I live 85 miles from Leeming but was the only one to offer Dean & his mates from Prestwick info on how to get there & where to spot , on meeting him & the gang on a very wet wed morning he asked me for some frequencies to get them started , I gave him a A4 printed map of the airfield which listed the freq required & was thanked by them all , now if I go to Prestwick I now have a Contact / face I know who will give me the same courtesy .

Rant over  .

Spent an enjoyable day over the border saying Hi to a few old friends too. Would like to echo the sentiment of the others that any information is welcome. I'm always appreciative of any heads up or rumor
I can now put faces to a few more Avatars / Hope your dog didn't bite you Stuart when you picked him up / Chris it was a fleeting hello but good to see you

hi Stewart thanks for your kind words! ; ) I would love to post regular posts on the tonkas but unfortunately it was just a one off trip due to business commitments I won't be able to make it up to Leeming again next week : (

It seems that there's a huge difference between the "spotters" at Leeming and everywhere else - what exactly is the issue with you guys at Leeming?

Do tell !

Mike,I don't post on here very often ,but Leeming is my local"fast jet" base.Away from the viewing area, there is limited parking, and many of the best spots for photography(in particular) are on private land.We rely on the consent of the landowners and and farmers to access these places, and previously ,inconsiderate individuals have blocked business entries, trampled down crops, left litter, and generally fouled things up for the rest of us,who have built up a relationship with the locals. If you read the sticky at the top you will see what I mean. This behaviour is not confined to us JP4heads,it infuriates people in all walks of life-after all would your employer,or you, tolerate someone invading there premises ,or your garden"because I can!"
This is an observation-I don't want to start a keyboard war,but I feel Mike deserves an answer.

No, seems Spade is not being heavily used by them this time around and the 3 occasions they have gone L/L Wed/Thurs/Fri last week they have tracked down to Wales for 10mins before RTB Leeming.

They certainly didn't last week. 3 days out, 2 blanks and a 100Sqn Hawk. The weather was rank rotten the other 2 days

Hi All

Has there been another German Tornado arrivve? I have on my SBS log for Monday(12th) afternoon a GAF M79 at 400feet at 1551...I was in Thirsk at the time and saw a single Tornado coming from the North East at that time and turning towards Leeming

Regards
