Yesterdays afternoon wave(1430ish)was 3 pairs only: J5018 (Spcl scheme) and J5234, J5024 and J5008, J5026 and J5016. No sign of any additional F18's or the Cougars. Additional waves were at around 1730 and 2030.

Thanks for that info. Will be watching this sort of info to see if it becomes regular for the daylight launch. I need 4 out of 8, if others come over along with the Cougars it will encourage me to take a trip up to Leeming. Just a thought, are the Qatari Hawks out and about much? Mike

The Qatari Hawks seem to be operating as singletons mostly, but occasionly pairs, both in the morning and afternoon. I can't visit regularly so hopefully someone else will be able to provide some additional reports as the Det progresses.

I thought it would be quite obvious that only 8 F/A-18's or here for YorkNite considering that's how many arrived on Monday. Their or no more due to arrive and as for the Cougars they or now only possibly coming for 1 week due to operational requirements so cloud arrive any time.

The f18s are tucked up in 25sqn area. Only seen when ready for flight. Only 4 have flown today, two pairs, around 14:15 and returned around 15:40-15:50

There are photos of J-5234, J-5018 & J-5024 flying today on the RAF Leeming Spotters Group on Facebook, but no photo of the other one.
