Morning gents,

Just logged at Woodvale…

Wildcats
ZZ375, ZZ378

Chinooks
ZK555, ZK560, ZK562

Merlins
ZH836, ZJ123, ZJ994

Dauphins
ZJ783, ZJ785

Tutors
G-BYUJ, G-BYVF, G-BYVY, G-BYXM

ZJ992 was also reported here over the weekend but it’s certainly not here at present (1110hrs). There is, however a gap between the Merlins which presumably is where it was.

Don’t think Uber logged so much here in 45 years of spotting.

Ron

Visited today at 12.20 and (ZJ992)/ AB had returned, Chinook ZH562 was flying around the airfield before returning to his spot.
I struggled with ZH555 as the sun was reflecting right on the last digit.

Just out of interest, does anyone know the actual exercise name for this? I've not seen one mentioned for this.

From the train as I passed at 4.30pm today everything has left apart from 3 Chinooks parked on the disused runway

I have heard "Exercise hawser link" as a possible name.

Also ZK555 has just left as of 18/11/2024 18:43 with ZK560 leaving a few hours earlier
