I will drive up as this really is the end of an era! I will keep logs of my visits, as I have previously so that we have records for the last few months of Harrier. Thanks to Harrier list and BMAL for their info and to all who have posted info in the past.

Paul
I live close to Cottesmore and as fare as i know, its now a change of plan!

4(R)sqn is not the first to retire and Wittering is open tomorrow to recover a jet, thats what i have heard.

Although Coningsy 41SQD Harriers seem to be leaving Coningsby on Monday and to be arriving at Cottesmore (more information may arrive on this if and when it comes)

Hope this helps and at the moment Monday could see the end of the first Harrier squadron.

Thanks, Cott09

Many thanks for that Cott09, I planned to to go to Cott. on Monday and/or Wednesday next week anyway, plus more days before they all go. I have had a few good days there this year already and am pleased I made the effort!
Thanks and regards

And who said it was going to be the tomorrow? What we have is the W/C 01/11/11, which means Week Commencing the 01st November 2010 simple. That says to me it is the week in which the 1st of November is the first day as in today and not to any specific day of that week.
Touchy........it wasn't even your post which said:

Would hate anyone to have wasted a journey............

Harriers will retire at Cottesmore, and that's for all airframes.
