Ex LOW RIDER 15-26 March 2010
The next Exercise LR is scheduled for RAF Wadd between 15-26 Mar (with a potential for a small extension to the end date). Early participant indications are as follows:
Week 1: Apache C130(Norwegian) Lynx Defender
Week 2: Sea King Shadow V(AC) Sqn Merlin
This is still v early planning and none are guaranteed. Other Units may support Donna Nook activities as part of the exercise.
Please DO NOT send PM asking for amplification. I will attempt to update as issues firm up.

Just bumping this up as the exercise is due to start on Monday. I'll be down there at some point over the fortnight, depending on the weather! Hopefully they'll be on 02 aswell.

Thanks for the bump: Timely update
Please remember that, although booked, the plans are often affected by servicability, availability, weather and range etc:
Week 1.
(Hosted by Wadd) Shadow, Sea King 4/7 (interchanging during the week), Merlin.
(input from CBY) GR4, RNLAF F16 (poss control) - (these may come to Wadd for fuel).
Week 2.
(Hosted by Wadd) Lynx Mk7, RNoAF C-130, UK C-130 (interchanging during the week) KA200, Apache.
(input from CBY) Typhoon.
Hope it works out for those attending.

Good stuff, I much prefer chilling up that end away from the busy road! Fingers crossed for some decent weather too.
Cheers, Dean.

Terry
Anything is possible, but the current 'FlyPro' shows the F16 operated from Leeuwarden CBY and the RNoAF C-130 being hosted at Wadd.
The F-16 in wk1 to fly MTWT (2 sorties onTues)
The C-130 in wk2 to fly MTWT one sortie per day.

Hi,
The dutch F16's returned home after their sortie, heard him say "see you again tomorrow". Heard landing this morning was Merlin "Navy 500", not sure whether ge is part of the exercise.
Can anyone confirm what's present at Waddington?
Regards
Stuart

Defender flew today, as did Merlin and Sea King. Also 2 Sentinels landed between 3.15 and 4.15.

It was a Defender. Sorry I didn't catch the serial as I was at the 02 end. I'm sure someone will have caught it on take-off?phantom23 wrote:Hi,
